About
My work deals with the concerns of society-specifically humanity at odds with technology, industry and the environment. Having worked much of my life in a factory setting, I have experienced how much technology affects people and the environment. In my current artwork I create places and moods that invite the viewer to enter into the work and form their own relationship to it. I consider my artwork a type social surrealism in which I can express my opinions and stimulate the viewer into looking at the world differently. Much of my photographic work is manipulated and monochrome. I utilize both process and idea to realize how the manipulation of the image will affect the content. In this way I am able to create resonances of meanings and juxtapositions which are mind stretching and stimulating.
